Cardi B has called out Nicki Minaj’s fans, claiming they were responsible for her new single leaking. The 25-year-old rapper has dropped her new song Money two days early after the track leaked online. And Cardi reckons her arch nemesis’s fans are to blame. Taking to Instagram Live, the Bodak Yellow rapper hit out at the ‘Barbz’, claiming they follow everything that she does.
Cardi, real name Belcalis Almanzar, said: ‘I hope the people that are here are my real followers, not the fucking fake followers. ‘So as you can see, my song Money got leaked. So it’s like, fuck it; if it’s leaked, might as well put it out. I think it got leaked because sometimes you send your records early to these streaming or these music platforms, somebody from their building leak it and everything.’
She continued: ‘We tried to retract it, but you know the Barbz—they always posting me, they always post everything I do. They claim they hate me but they really love me because they be on my page before my fans. Everything that I do, they be on it before my fans. So, clearly, that seems like love to me.’ Nicki and Cardi are embroiled in a highly publicised feud, which hit fever pitch when the rappers physically fought at New York Fashion Week.
