Super Eagles, goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, insists the team will go all out for a win in Tuesday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash against Libya, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.
The three-time AFCON winners brighten their chances of qualifying for Cameroon 2019 with a comprehensive 4-0 win against the Mediterranean Knights at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday.
Gernot Rohr’s charges occupy second position in Group E with six points from three games, one less than the Bafana Bafana of south Africa who are on seven points.
“The game on Saturday is gone now and what we are thinking about at the moment is the return leg in Sfax, Tunisia,” Ezenwa told CSN.
“Our main target is to secure maximum points in the game and nothing more. The Libyans showed us their quality on Saturday and we must be at their our best to beat them.
” I’m confident we will get a positive result against them like we did on Saturday as we have a strong team to achieve that.
“The confidence level in the team is very high at the moment and we are nothing thinking about nothing else except a win.”
22 players left Uyo on Monday morning for the game which will take place at the 18-000 capacity Stade Taïeb Mhiri, home ground of Tunisia Premier League side, CS Sfaxien.
The duo of Ogenyi Onazi who picked up a achilles injury in training on Thursday and Shehu Abdullahi who sustained a harmstring injury in the early parts of the game against Libya in Uyo on Saturday have returned to their clubs for further treatment.
