Ferguson Quits Booze After Undergoing Brain Surgery

Former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has reportedly quit booze six months after undergoing live-saving brain surgery.

The legendary former Red Devils boss is known for loving a drop of vintage red, but pals say he didn’t touch a drop on a recent holiday to the south of France.

The Sun report Fergie has 800 bottles of vintage vino at his home but has stopped drinking as he continues to recover.

Ferguson, 76, was taken to Salford Royal Infirmary in May after suffering a brain haemorrhage.

He had weeks of treatment but has now resumed attending United games as the Red Devils bid to improve on their stuttering start to the campaign.

In 2014, Fergie sold part of his wine collection for £2.3million at a Hong Kong auction.
