Eden Hazard, Raheem Sterling, Alexandre Lacazette, alongside three other players have been nominated for the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for September, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Wolverhampton Wanderers defender, Willy Boly, Gylfi Sigurdsson of Everton and Leicester City’s James Maddison are the other players nominated for the award according to the official Premier League website.
Chelsea talisman, Hazard has been in blistering form scoring five goals in the English Premier League including a hat-trick against Cardiff City, as the Blues maintained their unbeaten start to the season.
Alexandre Lacazette on his part scored twice and contributed two goal assists for Arsenal who won all four of their fixtures in the month of September.
Leicester City’s James Maddison also earned his spot on the nomination list after providing two goals and two assist for the Foxes, while Everton’s Gylfi Sigurdsson bagged three goals in four games with two coming in a 3-0 home win over Fulham in the month under review.
Willy Boly helped Wolverhampton Wanderers keep clean sheets in three of their four matches and remained unbeaten throughout September.
Raheem Sterling scored three goals and provided two assists for Manchester City who won all of their matches in September.
Fans are expected to vote for their EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for September before 11:59 on Monday, 8 October 2018.
Their vote will be combined with those of the 20 club captains and a panel of football experts to decide the winner, which will be announced next week.
Harry Kane holds the joint-record for the most Player of the Month awards, at six with Steven Gerrard while Sergio Aguero has won the award five times.
Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler was the first player to win the award in consecutive months.
