Couples argue, it’s not a new thing. Being in a relationship literally can be the most beautiful thing and at the same time the hardest thing to maintain.
So if it seems like you guys are not getting along the way you used to, don’t be alarmed, here are some things to stop doing to get your relationship back on track:
Refusing To Take The Blame
Nobody likes to take the blame even when it’s obvious that they’re at fault. It can be frustrating to your partner when you refuse to see what’s wrong with your actions. Even when your partner contributed significantly to the issue, being the bigger person and accepting your mistake will be a major step in getting along.
When you sit down to discuss your issues, remember that its not about winning an argument but understanding each other better and finding a solution. Try to admit when you are wrong, apologize and move on.
Living In The Past
Saying things like “You always do this” will not help the situation. The best thing to do is to stick to the issue at hand and deal with that first. Stop dwelling in the past.
Picking On Your Partners Flaws
Just like every other person, you’re not perfect. The most belittling thing you can do to anyone especially your partner is attack their flaws or shortcomings when you’re not getting along. No matter how upset you might be make sure you communicate respectfully and rationally without being rude.
Being Impatient
“Patience is a virtue” especially in your relationship. It means you need to give room for your man to be human and make mistakes. Like a light bulb, if you spark too much you might just burn out.
