Super Eagles defender, Brian Idowu, made his second Champions League appearance for Russian club, Locomotiv Moscow who fell to 1-0 defeat to German club, Schalke 04 in their Group D encounter at the RZD Arena, Moscow on Wednesday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Idowu was on for the entire 90 minutes in the game, which was his fourth appearance in all competitions for his club this season.
Weston McKennie scored the winning goal for Schalke 04 two minutes from time.
It was Locomotiv Moscow’s second defeat in the group following their 3-0 defeat to Galatasaray of Turkey on matchday-one.
In another early kick-off game, Brazilian star, Neymar bagged a hat-trick in French side, Paris Saint-Germain’s 6-1 win against Crvena Zvezda of Serbia.
Neymar netted in the 20th, 22nd and 81st minutes respectively, while Edison Cavani, Angel Di Maria and Kylian Mbappe got the other goals for the French champions.
Former Chelsea winger, Marko Marin scored Zvezda’s only goal of the game.
