Super Eagles winger, Alex Iwobi, made his second Europa League appearance this season for Arsenal who defeated Azerbaijani outfit, Qarabag 2-0 in their Group E encounter at the Baki Olympic Stadium, Baku on Thursday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Iwobi, who starred in the Gunners 2-0 Premier League win against Watford last Saturday was replaced by Frenchman, Alexander Lacazette in the 71st minute.
Sokratis Papastathoupoulos, Smith Rowe and Matteo Guendouzi got the goals for the Gunners in the encounter.
At the Stade Matmut Atlantique, Bordeaux, Nigeria winger, Samuel Kalu was on for 90 minutes as his French club, FC Bordeaux fell to a 2-1 home defeat against Danish side, FC Copenhagen.
Pieros Soteriou put Copenhagen ahead three minutes before the break, while Younousse Sankhare equalised for the hosts six minutes from time.
Robert Skov however netted the winning goal for the visitors two minutes into stoppage time.
Former MFM forward, Steven Odey was on for 82 minutes in Swiss side, FC Zurich 1-0 home win against Bulgaria’s Ludogogrets at the Stadion Letzigrund, Zurich.
