Jaafar Jaafar, the publisher of Daily Nigerian, an online medium that released video clip portraying Gov Umar Ganduje of Kano state receiving bribe from contractor has finally arrived Kano state House of Assembly.
He arrived with the holy Qur’an hanged on his shoulders.
He is accompanied by his lawyers.
Immediately he sat, the sitting commenced.
It was reported that heavily armed security personnel were positioned inside and outside the Kano State House of Assembly as the seven-man investigative committee set up by the state lawmakers over the alleged bribery video involving the governor of the state, Umar Ganduje is set to commence sitting today (Thursday).
The security personnel consist of the Police, Department of Security Service (DSS) and Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC).
Further observation indicated that only accredited persons were allowed to gain access into the premises of the Assembly.
Thousands of supporters of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who also stormed the secretariat to witness the sitting, were prevented from entering into the venue by the heavily armed security men.
