The Mediterranean Knights of Libya national arrived in Uyo Friday evening ahead of Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Super Eagles, but refused to stay at the hotel reserved for them by the NFF, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The Libyans arrived with a 50 man delegation but however declined the hotel Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort which was reserved for them, CSN gathered.
The Libyan team had a feel of the Akwa Ibom international Stadium turf at 6:30pm and trained for an hour before they departed for their choice hotel which was unknown as at the time of this report.
Libya lead Group E with four points from two games while Nigeria are third with three points from two games.
South Africa who host Seychelles in the other group fixture is second with four points but with an inferior goal difference.
Seychelles are rock bottom in the group.
