Wilfred Ndidi has admitted that Saturday’s 1-1 draw against West Ham at the King Power stadium was a tough game for Leicester City but reveals he his delighted at the point gained reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Foxes needed an 89th minute equaliser from Ndidi to secure a valuable point from the encounter.
Fabian Balbuena had put the visitors, West Ham in the lead, reacting first to the rebound from his own header, to prod home after 30 minutes.
Balbuena turned villian with just a minute into additional time deflecting in Ndidi’s shot.
The goal was Ndidi’s first goal of the season and his first since 2017. The game was Ndidi’s 10th start of the season.
The Nigerian international, Ndidi also wished Daniel Amartey speedy recovery after the Ghanian international was stretched off the pitch and taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg.
“Tough game, +1 point. Wishing @DanAmartey a quick recovery ??,” Ndidi tweeted after the game.
Leicester City will face Southampton in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, before taking on Cardiff City on Saturday in the English Premier League.
