This is quite disheartening. A new born baby has been rescued after being abandoned along the road in Makurdi, Benue state capital.
According to reports, the baby was found on the road by some primary school pupils who were going to school before they raised an alarm.
The baby was saved with ants all over his body as he was rushed to the hospital for checkup.
A twitter user who shared the picture, wrote; Lower Benue Area Of Makurdi Bns – The baby was found by some primary school pupils going to school,with ants all over his body,but he is alive and is been checked by medical personnel.
Just yesterday, a newborn baby boy miraculously survived after being dumped in a black nylon bag and abandoned in a bush in Imo state.
It was gathered that the incident happened recently in Umuokwu Ihiagwa in Owerri West local government area of the state as residents and neighbours heard the cry of the helpless baby throughout the night.
Early the next morning, the neighbours traced the baby to the bush were it was dumped in a bag.
When the baby boy was brought out, he was found with his placenta and still breathing.
The baby was rushed to St. Augustine hospital where a doctor attended to him.
