Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo admits Leganes faced a difficult Levante side in Saturday’s La Liga clash and were unlucky to have lost the encounter despite dominating play reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Omeruo made his second start (his third appearance) since joining the club in the summer in the encounter which Leganes lost 2-0.

Leganes dominated the game having more possession, better pass accuracy and had six shots on target but failed to take advantage of them.

The 25 years old Nigerian international is, however, looking forward to Tuesday’s first leg round of 32 Copa Del Rey encounter at home to Rayo Vallecano.

“Difficult and unlucky game for us. we keep working hard.. next game Tuesday… ?,” Omeruo tweeted.

Recall that Omeruo made his debut for CD Leganés in their 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano in a Spanish La Liga encounter played on Saturday, October 6 at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque.

Leganes are 18th in the La Liga table with eight points from 10 games.

Omeruo is expected to be named in Nigeria’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations squad to face South Africa at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg next month.

The Nigerian defender is on a season loan from English Premier League giants Chelsea.
