Nigeria forward, Henry Onyekuru, is set to make a return to action for Galatasaray in Friday’s Turkish Super League clash against local rivals, Fenerbache after spending time on the sidelines due to injury, Completesportsnigeria. com.
Onyekuru has missed Galatasaray’s last three games in all competitions due to the injury he picked up while on international duty with Nigeria.
The striker was earlier expected to be out for around six weeks but has resumed full training with his teammates
ahead of the game billed for the Türk Telekom Stadium,Istanbul.
Turkish website, aksam.com.tr provided an update on Onyekuru’s injury and some of his teammates ahead of the game.
“Serdar Aziz, Eren Derdiyok, Henry Onyekuru and Sofiane Feghouli, trained with their teamamates on the field after spending time the physiotherapist,”
Onyekuru who is loan at Galatasaray from English Premier League side, Everton has scored two goals in eight league appearances for Fathi Terim’s men this season.
He is one of the five players placed on stand-by by Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr for next month’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Bafana Bafana of South Africa and the friendly against Cranes of Uganda.
Galatasaray occupy third position in the table with 19 points two adrift of surprise leaders, Istanbul Basaksehir.
