Rangers To Hold Aiteo Cup Trophy Parade November 16

Enugu Rangers will hold a trophy parade on Friday, November 16 to celebrate their Aiteo Federation Cup success, Completesportsnigeria. com reports.

The Flying Antelopes produced one of the most remarkable performances in the history of the competition coming back three goals down to beat Kano Pillars 4-2 in the final of this year’s edition staged last week at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.

It was the Enugu club’s first Federation Cup title since 1983 and their sixth in total.

The club’s hierarchy, CSN learnt, are planning to celebrate their successful campaign in a big way with a trophy parade around major cities of Enugu to share the memories with the fans.

A grand reception is also planned for the next day at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu where the state government is expected to reward the players for their efforts.

The Coal City club, by virtue of lifting the Federation Cup, will represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup next year and will hope to become the first Nigerian club to win the competition.

Handler of the side, Gbenga Ogunbote was handed a new one-year contract on Tuesday.
