Gifting your other half doesn’t have to be so complicated.
Most people, when it comes to buying gifts, whether it’s an anniversary or birthday gift will stick to cliché gifts. After all, when buying gifts for a woman, many men have been conditioned to believe that you can never go wrong with flowers, chocolate, wine or perfume. Sure, those gifts are nice but it really makes a difference when you gift your lover something sentimental – something that takes them back to a certain time of joy and happiness. Sentimental gifts, more often than not, don’t have to be expensive but, they’re meaningful. Next time, before you buy bae those flowers, think about these sentimental gifts for the hopeless romantics.
1. Something engraved.
Think of something like a promise ring or a bracelet for example that has a piece of writing that the two of you can relate to, like a love quote you both love or even a mantra that you both live by. Heck it could even be a silly joke or the initials of the two of you. An engraved bracelet that he/she can wear everyday will remind her/him of you and is especially perfect for couples in LDRs.
2. His and Hers t-shirts.
I know that wearing matching clothes can be a tad too cheesy for some couples. But if you and bae are about that life, don’t let the naysayers stop you. Print out matchy-matchy t-shirts and take that photo shoot like the cliché internet couples, who cares!

3. A photo collage.
A majority of girls love photos and to take photos. You could gift your girlfriend with a cute framed photo collage of all your cute moments together. Print out all those cute pics on your phone of the two of you, have them turned into a cute collage and gift her that. Pictures spark so much nostalgia and take you back the memory lane and what better way to see how far you and bae have come and all the memories you have made along the way than with a collage?

4. Edit a video featuring some of the highlights in your relationship and gift your bae.
Nowadays, you don’t even require the services of a videographer to edit a video with all the apps out there. If you have iMovie for instance, it’s super easy to edit videos and even add words and pictures in between. I personally love seeing old videos especially those I didn’t even know existed in the first place. Just like the collage, this is also a very nostalgic gift. Simple, but cute and will definitely get a massive “Aww!” as the perfect ..
5. A love letter.
If you’re like me, then you’re a sucker for someone expressing his/her feelings through hand written letters. I think we need to bring back letter writing. If your bae is the kind that would not appreciate you jotting down all those cute things to make them smile and maybe even get teary, then you deserve better. If you’re not good at letter writing, you could think of coming up with an ‘I love you’ jar. A jar with say ’30 reasons why I love you’. Cut out 30 papers for instance, writing a reason on each, fold them and put them in a jar, tie a ribbon and give your bae. You can even put conditions like read one every morning for one month like the birthday month…be creative!
6. A wallet photo.
Go get a boudoir sexy shoot and gift your bae a framed sexy photo of you or a wallet photo – something that they can look at whenever they miss you and think to themselves ‘Damn! How did I get so lucky?’
