Two Super Eagles stars are set to clash in LaLiga today as Levante welcome Leganes at the Estadi Ciutat de Valencia, Complete Sports reports.
Nigeria forward Moses Simon of Levante will be lying in wait for his compatriot and national teammate Kenneth Omeruo of Leganes at the Estadi Ciutat de València.
Simon will be aiming to make his first start for in-form Levante after making three substitute appearances.
The former Gent forward, who has scored one LaLiga goal this season, was an unused substitute as Levante stunned Real Madrid
2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu last weekend. Simon has not featured for Levante in LaLiga since 30 September when they faced Deportivo Alaves.
Simon will hope to be involved as Levante chase a fourth consecutive victory, but Leganes are also in form.
Omeruo has been impressive in Leganes’ central defence, helping them to their first clean sheet of the season on his debut, when he came on as a 29th minute debut against Rayo Vallecano.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner limped off in the 70th minute against Valencia last weekend, but he is expected to be
fit for the Levante clash.
Leganes are yet to concede when Omeruo is on the pitch; Valencia equalized in last week’s 1-1 draw after he had been taken off.
