UCL: Bonaventure Shines In Club Brugge’s Home Draw Vs Monaco; Spurs Draw 2-2 Away At PSV

Nigerian born forward Dennis Bonaventure made his first UEFA Champions League start of the season for Club Brugge who were held to a 1-1 draw at home to AS Monaco in a group A clash on Wednesday reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

 

Moussa Sylla gave the visitors, Monaco the lead after 32 minutes before Wesley Moraes drew Club Brugge level seven minutes later.

Bonaventure played for 90 minutes before he was replaced in additional time in the draw.  Bonaventure has four attempts on goal in the encounter.

 

The 20 year old was subbed off for Krepin Diatta after he was cautioned in the 89th minute.

 

AS Monaco are placed third with just one point same with Club Brugge who occupy bottom with the same point but with an inferior goal difference of -4.

 

At the Philip stadium in the Netherlands, ten man Tottenham Hotspur drew 2-2 away to PSV Eindhoven in a group B clash.

 

Hirving Lozano scored a 30th minute opener for PSV Eindhoven but goals from Lucas Moura in the 39th minute and another from Harry Kane in the 55th minute handed Tottenham Hotspur a 2-1 lead.

 

Hugo Lloris was sent off in the 79th minute after he fouled Lozano in the 79th minute.

 

With two minutes left to play, Luuk de Jong struck from close range to earn PSV Eindhoven a share of the spoils.

 

Tottenham Hotspur remain third in group B with a point while PSV Eindhoven with a point as well are bottom with an inferior goal difference -5.

 

Both teams, Tottenham Hotspur and PSV Eindhoven will meet on match day 4 at the Wembley stadium in London in a fortnight.
