A young footballer was stabbed to death on his 23rd birthday. According to reports, Moses Mayele was found dead just 200 yards from his home on Friday evening in London.
A second man, aged 22, was also stabbed in the incident in Hainault.
He was initially thought to be critical but his condition has since been described as not life-threatening by cops.
Moses is understood to have played football for a team called Watford Impact.
Paying tribute one friend wrote: “Words can’t even describe the pain and hurt we are all going through right now.
“You was a brother, a son, an uncle and so much more to everyone who knew you and loved you.”
Another added: “You’ll never be forgotten.”
Police were called at 10.20pm on Friday to reports of “two males stabbed” in Manford Way.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the incident and one man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Met Police spokesman said: “A crime scene remains in place. Officers from the Homicide and Major Crime Command have been informed.”
They added: “There have been no arrests and inquiries continue.”
