Keep your bags away from heat
You might not know this but your leather bags can be destroyed by heat, even if they are really expensive. Heat can cause even the most genuine of leather accessories to crack and then peel. So be sure to keep your bags in an airy environment.
Store your bags correctly
You should keep your bags in a dust bag when not in use. Dust bags will protect them from colour transfer, excess moisture, fading and dust. But if you don’t have a dust bag, you can use an old pillowcase. But whatever you do, do not store your leather bags in a nylon bag. Nylon bags are not breathable, so the heat will definitely cause peeling.

Keep liquids, oil and grease away from your bags
When keeping liquids and oily substances in your bags, make sure they’re properly sealed. Poorly covered liquid foundations and oil bottles have been the bane of many bags. To be safe, when carrying liquids, put them in a Ziploc bag first.
