Lionel Messi has been hailed as being from ‘another world’ by Barcelona summer signing Malcom. The winger arrived at the Nou Camp from Bordeaux for £37million, after the Catalan club stole a march on Roma, who thought they had secured the Brazilian’s signature.
Understandably, the 21 year-old is awe of his new surroundings and in particular a certain five-time Ballon d’Or winning colleague.
Speaking to the club’s official channel, Malcom has heaped praise on his new superstar teammate.
“For me, he’s not from this world. Another world.
The Brazilian was just as impressed with the Messi’s personality and demeanour as he was with his footballing ability.
“And his simplicity, and the humility he has. It’s incredible,” he said. “So he deserves all this praise.
“My relationship with my teammates is getting better all the time.”
Life in la Liga has started slowly for Malcom, having made just two starts in all competitions for Ernesto Valverde’s side so far this season.
There has even already been speculation about his immediate future with Arsenal and Tottenham reportedly waiting to pounce.
But having scored his first goal for the club in a Champions draw against Inter Milan, the forward is optimistic about his future at the club.
