A drama ensued as a 25 year old man was restrained and forcefully removed from the roof of a residential building after climbing it earlier today.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa who responded to a distress call from a frantic resident – found the violent man on the roof of the single storey home.
The man appeared intoxicated and refused to climb down.
When approached, the man removed his shirt and requested Reaction Officers to shoot him.
Officers made several attempts to calm him down and talked the male into climbing off the roof.
After a short while Reaction Officers climbed the building & managed to handcuff the man.
He was them carried off the roof.
According to reports, the resident did not desire a criminal case and the drug user was released to his father who arrived on scene a short while later.
