Picking out what to wear to work for the coming week is always a challenge. You start with envisioning Monday’s attire and by Wednesday you are mentally exhausted.
Let’s face it, there’s a lot on your mind. Compartmentalizing is a skill many are yet to hone. The struggle is real, so we are giving you style suggestions for the week to help ease your stress.
Monday
Mondays set the tone of the week. You’ll want to appear ready to handle any task. For that Monday professional vibe, go for a fitted straight black trouser paired with a striped shirt and a bold solid coloured blazer. You can also alternate the look and go with a black blazer paired with solid coloured pants. A neutral coloured low heeled pumps, a long (not too long) neck piece, dainty earrings and a handbag. Nothing says boss lady more like a well tailored blazer.
Tuesday
Slay on a Tuesday! Get out that vibrant coloured over the knee skirt (mustard and olive green are the colours of the season so feel free to score those) and pair with a slightly boxy/boyfriend white blouse. It’s go bold or go home on this one. Accessorize with a chunky gold wristwatch, a pair of nude pointed pumps, handbag and a statement earring and you are good to go.
Wednesday
Let’s go girly with prints! Wear a chic knee length to three-quarter dress with polka dots, small prints or graphic prints. Depending on the colour of your dress, choose a similar hue of shoes. Accompanying accessories should be minimal. Let the countdown to Friday night out begin.
Thursday
When picking out what to wear to work, bring it down a notch on Thursday and go for a slightly casual look. A basic pair of trousers (navy blue, burgundy or black) paired with a long full sleeved chiffon top and nude pumps. Your hair should be pulled back to draw attention to your combination. Match this look with minimal accessories.
Friday
It’s Friyay! A pair of skinny jeans with a tucked in vibrant coloured tee shirt and a not-so-dressy jacket will do the trick. Stylish pumps or brogues will work with this look, statement earrings and accessories will also accentuate this look. You can always take off the jacket to give you a completely casual look if you have to turn up later.
So what’s your style looking like this week?
