A bride-to-be teacher accused of having sex with an underage pupil just weeks before her wedding has been jailed. Amy Nowaczyk, 26, was arrested after the 13-year-old boy said she seduced him by sending a raunchy photo of her breasts.
She then went on to perform oral sex on him and let him digitally penetrate her in a classroom, he told investigators.
Nowaczyk was initially charged with sexually assaulting a child and could have been caged for life if convicted.
But she was locked up for one to two years after pleading guilty to an amended count of attempted sexual assault and enticement by an electric device in Omaha, Nebraska.
She could be out on parole in half the time but must register as a sex offender.
Nowaczyk, who was due to marry barman Jordan Shurtleff, 27, in June, was arrested in April after the lad told investigators she sent him the bare boobs snap “months ago.”
It also showed a watch she always wore.
The pair swapped messages through Snapchat and the city’s Public Schools email and text services.
The sexual contact started in August, 2017.
Nowaczyk, who got engaged on Christmas Day 2016,was put on admin leave when the scandal surfaced.
The former dance teacher had worked as a social studies tutor since August, 2015.
Pupils’ parents were alerted about her arrest in an email from its principal.
“While we cannot comment on personnel or student issues specifically, we wanted to share with you that we are taking these allegations very seriously,” the principal told them.
