A woman who farted in a corner pulled a knife and threatened to “gut” a man who complained about it, police said. Shanetta Yvette Wilson, 37, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.
Cops arrested the Floridian woman on Sunday and booked her at a detention facility in Pompano Beach, just north of Fort Lauderdale.
Her bail was set at £1,000.
Police say she allegedly threatened the customer, John Walker, when he complained about her flatulence while they were queuing up together at a Dollar General store in Dania Beach, the Miami Herald reports.
Walker got into an argument with Wilson “in reference to the defendant farting loudly,” the arrest report states.
Wilson reportedly took a knife out of her purse and threatened to “gut” the man.
Walker told police officers he became afraid he would be stabbed when Wilson pulled back the hand holding the knife as though she would stab him with it, the document said.
She held the knife in her right hand and motioned in a way that looked like she was going to stab him, police said.
It is not currently clear if Wilson has a lawyer.
