Yul Edochie, popular Nigerian actor and son of veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has given up his political position in order to campaign full time for presidential hopeful and candidate of the opposition PDP, Atiku Abubakar.
In a Twitter post, which he also shared on Instagram, Yul thanked the Governor of Anambra state Wilie Obiano and his wife, for allowing him to serve in the capacity of Senior Special Adviser.
He also added that he is joining the Peoples Democratic Party and said he is doing this for all Nigerians as he believes it will not be in vain. In August 2017, Yul made known his decision to contest as a gubernatorial primary under the Democratic Peoples Congress.
Today I gave up my position as SSA to Governor of Anambra & joined the PDP with tons of my supporters to give 100% support to @atiku & @PeterObi
