- Jackie suggests getting a travel makeup bag. Now, why would you need this? Well, it helps to keep your clothes safe and stain free in case it is manhandled by the handsy people at luggage. Also, it keeps your makeup all in one place so once you have that bag, you’re good to go.
- Pack your makeup in the order in which you use makeup. So basically, if you use primer, spot corrector, foundation, concealer & loose powder, then pack in that order. This way you don’t forget anything, because you most likely won’t skip a step when doing your makeup.
- When travelling with makeup, try as much as possible to get travel size products. They make everything easier and lighter and chances are you won’t exhaust them before your trip back.
- If you’re travelling with breakable bottles, and fragile packaging, put them in the middle. This way if there’s any serious impact, they will survive.
- When it comes to packing eyeshadow palettes, grab the palettes you usually use. This way you’re sure you will definitely use the palettes and won’t regret the colours.
- Jackie always packs makeup wipes with her. And this isn’t just to clean her makeup off, but also to clean her brushes on the go.
- If you want to be really ‘extra’ with it, you can travel with your own mirror. Jackie suggests this because you never know how good (or bad) the mirror at your accommodation is going to be. Hers lights up to give her peak visibility while she slays.
- Another thing you need when learning how to travel with makeup is to always pack a facial mist. The air at 30,000 feet is quite dry and it strips your skin. A little spritz here and there will help refresh your skin till you land.
