The year’s almost over and Jackie Aina is still getting recognized for her hard work in 2018.
The YouTube beauty vlogger just won an award at Women’s Wear Daily’s Beauty Inc Awards as the Beauty Influencer of The Year. We couldn’t be happier for her, and if typing in all caps is any indication, Jackie is pretty excited about it too.
Jackie Aina received the award a few hours ago looking chic as always in a floral jumpsuit and a gorgeous fur coat. WWD also sat with the influencer to discuss her brand and where she’s taking her voice next.
From the interview, we can say that Jackie is expanding her brand to not just being about makeup, but a lifestyle brand. She told WWD “As long as I’m only focusing on just the makeup world, that would only hurt my growth as a creator. We’re at an age now where everyone knows how to do makeup because of YouTube.” She added “You don’t need another eyebrow tutorial— there’s 50 million of them on YouTube. I want people to see things that they don’t already see, something different, with my flair to it. It’s about what I’m talking about and what I bring to the table when I’m talking. It’s my personality that people are there for.”

Jackie also spoke again about releasing her own makeup line. She told WWD “people expect that I do something in the complexion category, so that would be my goal.” And apparently, there’s also a fashion line in the works (thank the fur gods).
