Short Ankara skirts are the best. Aren’t they? They’re cute, fun, flirty and can spice up any look. Granted, styling them can be a bit tricky, but that’s why we are here. Well, that and to find out who slayed the SGTC by Détóké colour block skirt better – OlarSlim or Ini Dima-Okojie?
Today, they’re not only letting us know how to style short Ankara skirts but who was a better style star in this skirt.
Let’s break it down:
The SGTC brand is no newbie to the Nigerian R-T-W fashion scene. They create fun Ankara pieces that fashionistas like Zina Anumudu, Temi Otedola, Wofai Fada and Taje Prest love to rock.
Their colour block skirt started making waves a short while ago and caught the attention of our contenders – OlarSlim & Ini Dima-Okojie. Both ladies wore the skirt to perfection and each shows us how to style the short ankara skirts. But we’d like to find out who wore it better (we’re asking for a friend)?
Ini Dima-Okojie
If you go through our style page, you’re going to see Ini a couple of times. That’s to show you just how much we love her sense of style. Ini took the sultry option when styling her skirt and opted for a sexy mesh bustier. The combination -coupled with geometric dangling earrings, statement glasses and strappy sandals- makes for a perfect outfit.

OlarSlim
Now on to Olar. Talk about a tall drink of sparkling water. We are definitely fans of OlarSlim’s vibrant looks and look to her for style inspiration constantly. She took the skirt to new heights while showing us how to rock a t-shirt. Olar paired her SGTC skirt with a blue round neck t-shirt, clear PVC heels and gold accessories. We are smitten with her long ponytail and think this look is a definite keeper.

Now that you’ve taken a closer look at each outfit, who do you think rocked the SGTC skirt better? Ini with her sultry vibe or Olar’s chic combo?
