If you have travel plans this holiday and detest packing because you suck at it, we are here to help.
Of course we would not physically come to your house to help you pack but with these holiday packing tips and tricks, we will definitely make the job much easier for you.
Here’s a list of what to do when packing for your Christmas trip:
Make A List
The first and most important of all holiday packing tips is to make a list. It is sensible to make a packing list so you won’t end up stuffing a whole bunch of random clothes into your suitcase. Making a packing list will help you stay organized and prevent you from forgetting stuff. Do not wait till the night before your journey to start packing. Make the list a few days or even a week ahead and start packing. To help make the list, have a mental itinerary and pick out outfits for each day. Since most of your clothes can be worn twice, there is no need packing 7 different outfits for a one week trip. Be creative.
Pack Extra Underwear
Be sure to pack the underwear that works best for the outfits you have chosen. Ensure to check if you need a strapless bra, a seamless pant etc. Unlike clothes, you cannot wear your undies more than once (with the exception of bras of course) so depending on your lineup of activities, it is best to pack extra panties for the entire trip. You don’t want to run out of clean underwear.
Pack Very Few Shoes
Shoes take up a lot of space and weigh like crazy so keep shoes to a minimum. When packing shoes, go with one walking, everyday shoe, sandal or slippers. Then add one dressy, going out shoe and one dressy heel for that unexpected night out or spontaneous date night. Stick with neutral colours like black or nude.
Don’t Forget Accessories
Using accessories to update your look is key. Pack a pair of statement earrings and necklace for the trip to amp up your look when needed. The addition of a statement piece of accessory can take you from a playful daytime babe to a glamorous nighttime gal.
Beauty Basics
When packing your makeup and beauty products, stick to the basic necessities. Pack items that can serve up to two or more purposes. Like petroleum jelly that can serve as both lip balm and moisturizer or an eyebrow pencil that can also serve as a lip liner.
Follow these holiday packing tips and you can be sure that you won’t have any troubles with packing or avoidably heavy luggage.
