With all the skincare and make-up ads we’re bombarded with daily, it can be pretty easy to forget about your feet and give all the attention to your face. Who can blame us? After all, our feet don’t take selfies.
But then one day you suddenly look down and realise you’re growing another feet on top of your feet *gasp!* from all the months of neglect. How do you fix this especially if you don’t have enough time to go to the salon?
We’re going to show you a way to get smooth feet in less than 10 minutes. And you can quickly do this in the shower while having your bath.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Sea salt– Sea salt is great for exfoliating the dry and hard layers of skin that have built up over time.
Olive oil – Olive oil serves as a lubricant, a softener and a moisturizer to soften your feet as you scrub. But if you don’t have olive oil, you can substitute with coconut oil.
Essential oils – This is optional but if you have some essential oils, it’ll make a difference. You can use lemon for brightening, tea tree as an antibacterial agent or just add a few drops of your favourite fragrance.
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl until it forms a paste. Gently massage into washed feet for a few minutes and don’t forget your toes too. While you’re at it, you can just scrub your legs too. Rinse off with lukewarm water to get the excess oil out. You’ll be surprised at how soft and smooth your feet will feel afterwards.
You can also use this mixture to exfoliate your whole body, except sensitive areas like your face and neck.
To also get smooth feet, you can go the extra mile and just have a pedicure. Here’s how to do it at home.
