A married school teacher who romped with her 13-year-old student allegedly groomed him using her school’s own social media app.
Brittany Zamora, 27, was arrested in March last year after her alleged victim’s horrified parents found nude images and explicit material on his phone.
The boy’s parents have filed a lawsuit against Liberty Elementary School District, as well as Zamora’s husband.
The lawsuit alleges that Zamora used a school app called Classcraft to talk to students outside of school, including the boy she is accused of molesting at Las Brisas Academy, reported KTAR News.
It also claims that she used the school’s social media accounts to groom and send explicit images to the boy, and that multiple instances of sexual activity occurred on school grounds in Zamora’s classroom.
The alleged victim’s parents are now seeking £1.9 million in damages, according to the lawsuit filed to Maricopa County Superior Court last week.
Steve Weinberger, who represented the family in court, said: “Any other school, school district, that’s using the application and misusing the application like Liberty School District has the possibility, the potential, for this kind of behaviour to occur. “Anything can go on under their nose.”
She performed a sex act on the boy – a pupil at her middle school in Arizona, USA – and sent a string of indecent photos and messages in a bid to seduce the teen, prosecutors allege.
Now, newly released police documents claim to show how the teacher bombarded her supposed victim with suggestive texts – including one which read: “OMG, I love you”.
Zamora, of Goodyear, Arizona, denies 10 counts of sexual conduct with a minor, two counts of molestation, two counts of furnishing sexually explicit material to a minor and one count of public indecency.
One text allegedly sent by her reads: “Omg lol you’re so cute baby”, according to docs obtained by KPNX.
Another read: “I wish you could’ve stayed after with me.”
The pupil then replied: “Me too. I wish I could just hang out with you whenever we wanted.”
