Mel B has claimed that the beginning of her ongoing feud with Victoria Beckham was all down to a holiday romance enjoying a poo on the beach. You read that correctly. In her new book, Mel has suggested that Victoria was horrified when Mel’s lover relieved himself on the sand and then took to the sea to clean himself up.
It was 1995 and Mel, Victoria, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell had all flown to Hawaii to bond as the Spice Girls, as they hit the big time. But Mel met a man called Nalu, whom she first spotted as he climbed a tree to pick coconuts for breakfast on the beach. ‘When he landed he came over to say hello. He was very lean, with very black, matted hair. He looked a bit like a Mexican Indian. His green eyes startled me. They were hypnotic. Ding-dong,’ she writes in her book To Catch A Fire. ‘He seemed very spiritual, calm and accepting. I really, really fancied him. I ended going off with Nalu for nights on end, sleeping rough under the stars or in his little car. A proper holiday romance.’
But her pop pals weren’t as impressed with Nalu, as Mel claims that when Posh saw the ‘disgusting’ moment take place on the beach, she was not happy. ‘Doesn’t he know what a toilet is? It’s disgusting,’ she allegedly told the girls.
Victoria won’t be joining her Spice Girls comrades on stage as the four out of five girl group go on their 2019 reunion tour. But it turns out she’ll still be making bank, as Mel B, AKA Scary Spice, revealed Victoria is ‘one of five’ and is entitled to her percentage and share of the riches just like the other members of the legendary group. ‘She’s one of five, so we all have to agree on stuff and we all take a percentage. It’s all split,’ Mel said. Easy money.
