A sitting at the Court of Appeal in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state, was disrupted earlier today.
Proceedings in an appeal filed by contending parties for the 2019 tickets of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the judgment of Justice Kolawole Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Port-Harcourt Division were ongoing – when two lawyers (one, a member of the State Judicial Service Commission Osima Ginah and a former Commissioner for Urban Development and a current Special Adviser to the Governor of Rivers State on legal matters; Chris Itamunola – came in to disrupt the proceedings.
According to the lawyers, they disrupted the proceedings to enforce the 2-day nationwide directive by the Nigerian Bar Association..
