Isaac Success has been ticked off by his Watford boss Javi Gracia for confronting a ballboy over his time-wasting. Hornets striker Success was booked by referee Graham Scott for knocking the ball out of the ballboy’s hands in the dying moments of a 2-1 defeat by Tottenham at Wembley on Wednesday.
The youngster was caught on camera, winking to Spurs fans in the crowd who applauded his gamesmanship, after the incident. But instead of complaining about the teenager’s antics, gentleman Gracia was not impressed with his player’s reaction.
Watford’s head coach said: “I have my own opinion about Isaac’s behaviour – and I don’t like to see that from my players.
“I’m not here to educate ballboys about what they need to do, but we have to improve our behaviour next time.
“We have to remember, we are talking about a boy.”
Watford had been happy to run down the clock as they clung to their 1-0 lead at Wembley, only for Spurs to snatch a deserved win with two goals in the last 10 minutes.
