Arsenal attacker, Alex Iwobi has joined in supporting German star, Mesut Ozil regain his relevance in the club, despite the playmaker being a direct rival for his place in the squad.

Iwobi and the other players at Emirates Stadium also believe Ozil has a role to play with the squad, hence their unease that he was again left out for their Europa League tie on Thursday, despite being confirmed fit to play.

The Gunners were beaten 1-0 by BATE Borisov, but the players believe they could accommodate Ozil, who has fallen down the pecking order at an alarming rate this season, as he faces an escalating predicament.

In reaction to Ozil’s confession that he is worried by his current plight, Iwobi commented with the ‘praying hands’ emoji, while Switzerland ace, Granit Xhaka wrote: “Exactly.”
