An Army captain groped a drunken woman after his wife’s baby shower, a court heard. Dale Jackson, 44, was captured on CCTV slipping his hands under the victim’s jumper and into her jeans.
The drunk victim could not walk or speak coherently and was like “a puppet whose strings had broken,” Warwick crown court heard.
She had no idea that Jackson, of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, had groped her after they left a bar last February.
The pair — who had earlier been drinking at a social club — joined his wife Helen and her pals for a pub crawl following her baby shower.
Jackson and the friend carried on boozing after Helen and others went home.
Jackson, of Atherstone, denied sexual assault but was unanimously convicted by a jury at Warwick crown court.
He was warned he faced jail as the case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report.
