Manchester United look to be the latest side to have an ‘Icon’ shirt made by Adidas for the 2019-20 season.
The likes of Arsenal, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have all had their supposed fourth kits leaked online, though none of the clubs are expected to wear the jerseys in official matches.
United’s retro strip was leaked by FootyHeadlines, which shows a traditional looking design inspired from the club’s look in the late 1980s.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men already have an icon kit this season which is taken from the 1960s, and is available to buy on United’s website for £120.
Speaking of the design, the website said: “The new shirt continues last year’s tradition, which saw Adidas release an ‘Icon Collection’ with classic shirts for all of its elite teams.
“The Adidas Manchester United 2019 LS Retro kit is mainly ‘real red’, which is the colour used for the 2018-2019 home kit. “The red base is paired with much white and a bit of black on the collar, including a monochrome white/silver club badge on the left chest.”
They also claim that United may adopt a similar approach to their next home kit – which is expected to feature a lot more white as opposed to black.
However unlike this season’s kit, it will only be available in long sleeve when it hits the stores in the summer.
