It has been learnt that a 17-year-old girl in one of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in Nigeria – is suffering from a medical condition which has left her in pains.
The teenage girl identified Msurshima, is said to have her uterus pushed out for over 5 months now due to forced labour and is gradually dying of pain.
According to philanthropist Ukan Kurugh who shared the report, efforts are being made to raise funds for the girl to undergo surgery this week.
Uterine prolapse occurs when pelvic floor muscles and ligaments stretch and weaken and no longer provide enough support for the uterus. As a result, the uterus slips down into or protrudes out of the v@gina.
Uterine prolapse can occur in women of any age.
