A man is lucky to be alive after being involved in a motor accident reportedly caused by a drunk passenger.
It was gathered that the accident happened this afternoon on the R102 in Tongaat – KZN, South Africa, as officials arrived the scene to render medical assistance to the injured passenger.
According to the driver, the intoxicated front seat passenger pulled the steering wheel to the left without warning and caused his silver Suzuki Alto to veer off the southbound lane and down an embankment. The vehicle turned came to a standstill in the opposite direction of travel.
The rear passenger and driver were not injured.
The intoxicated 50 year old male was treated for his injuries on scene & transported to the Hospital for further treatment.
