A female teacher in the United States is facing jail after being charged with sexual assault, allegedly romping with a pupil. Kristin Davenport, 26, a teacher at Northside High School in Georgia, US, is facing three charges of sexual assault and is currently in jail.
The charges are thought to relate to a relationship she had with a student at the school.
Davenport was arrested on April 25 after a tip-off on April 18.
So far Davenport has not been fired from her position.
Educational bosses at the Muscogee County District have spoken out after Davenport was the third teacher in the county to be arrested in the space of a week and a half.
Dr David Lewis, Muscogee County Superintendent, told the Ledger-Enquirer: “We take these matters very seriously, and we do not and will not take any of this behaviour that compromises the moral and ethical standards to which we hold ourselves as educators.
