Residents of Rumuorlumeni community in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state, have been fleeing the area for safety as a result of the cult clash between the Iceland and Degbam confraternities which resulted to over eight deaths last night, according to reports.
According the residents, the tension in the area is already high because they fear there might be reprisal attacks by the warring cult groups which will lead to the deaths of many more people.
It has been learnt that security operatives have arrived the area in a bid to prevent further killings and breakdown of law and order.
