Troopers took a second emergency call about a reckless driver. The caller stayed on the line to give FHP updates on the location of the reckless driver, who turned down State Road 52.

FHP said as a trooper moved into detain one of the women who had yet to reach the car, the driver drove toward the trooper, causing the trooper to jump out of the way to avoid being hit by the car.

Authorities said Dade City Police joined the pursuit and placed stop sticks on SR 52. The tires on the getaway car deflated. An FHP trooper used a PIT maneuver to stop the car. FHP said the occupants refused to comply and resisted arrest, which led to one trooper using a stick to break out a window. The women locked their arms together in the car. Troopers said they had to taser all three women to get them into custody.
