Nnamdi Kanu, 52, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra. The main aim of IPOB is to create an independent state for the people of old Eastern Region of Nigeria through referendum.
The father of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Eze Israel Kanu, died at the age of 86.
His father’s death happened four months after his mother, Ugoeze Sally Kanu, passed away. Eze Kanu was the traditional ruler of Afara Ukwu Umuahia community till his death.
Nnamdi Kanu has announced his plan to attend the burial of his parents slated for February 14, 2020. He however refused to disclose the security arrangements put in place for the burial in view of its sensitivity.
