A Chinese woman suffering from coronavirus was discharged from hospital on her birthday.
The patient, identified only as Ms Yan, was recovering from the virus infection at a hospital in Wuhan, the city in China’s Hubei Province at the centre of the outbreak.
Touching images show Ms Yan bowing to medical workers in a display of gratitude as she was discharged on Tuesday, in time for her birthday.
Other photos show Ms Yan receiving a present from the medical staff at the hospital, who are wearing full hazmat suits as they applaud the recovered patient.
The woman was able to leave hospital after recovering from the potentially deadly virus.
She is one of the few who have recovered from it and can go home to celebrate her birthday. Congrats to her and her family!
