There were controversies over the burial of former governor of Oyo state Abiola Ajimobi who died on the 25th of June from Coronavirus complications after going into Coma.
Abiola Ajimobi had traveled to Abuja according to his aide to sort out some party issues not knowing that was the end of his journey. The governor took ill and was brought into Lagos state and was admitted at the first cardiologist hospital but unfortunately, he didn’t make it out alive.
He was meant to resume duty as the acting National Chairman of the All progressive congress party (APC). You will recall that rumors of his death went viral on the 20th of June that his media aide debunked before he died on the 25th of June, 2020.
The late former governor was buried in his home in Ibadan today according to Islamic rites and NCDC rules on burying COVID-19 victims. His wife, Florence Ajimobi, and a few family members were in attendance.
May God comfort the family he left behind and may he rest in peace, amen!
