The Nigeria Info 99.3FM on Thursday said it had yet to receive any formal communication from the National Broadcasting Commission on the N5m fine imposed on the station for alleged breach of the broadcast code.
The Group Head of Stations, Wazobia/Cool FM/Nigeria Info, Femi Obong-Daniels, told our correspondent that the station had been waiting for a formal notice without receiving any.
He said, “We have not received any letter. I can confirm that to you. We have been waiting, but it has not come. As of 8 pm that we are talking, we have not received anything and until we get that, we don’t have a conversation with them yet.”
Our correspondent observed that aside from the statement of the NBC on the matter going viral on the internet, the report had also been posted on the official website of the commission.
