Sauti Sol’s member Willis Chimano has hit back at his critics and haters for poking their noses into his private affairs. This is after a photo of himself with a mzungu man alleged to be his boyfriend, standing alongside fellow members of his group, went viral online.
The whole melee was sparked by Bien Aime who posted a group photo of the band members, each with their wives and lovers on his Instagram account on Tuesday, August 18.
On the photo, Bien could be seen holding his bae Chiki, so was Savara and Polycarp with theirs, apart from Chimano who did not have a female partner but a white man standing next to him, holding his shoulder.
”My squad reign supreme,” he captioned the photo. Well, no sooner had the photo lasted a minute on the page than an attack was launched against Chimano with quite a number of social media users insinuating he could be gay and the mzungu man was possibly his lover.
Many expressed their shock and disbelief while attacking the singer online but others picked his side and condemned his critics for being big hypocrites.
Chimano trended for the better part of Tuesday and on Wednesday, August 19, he spiked on Twitter, a move that forced him to address his haters. Taking to Twitter, he laughed off all negative rants and bashed people who have been calling him out in a smooth but savage tweet.
The singer stated that his haters were hating because they were just that; haters whose perfect position is on the hate side. Chimano noted that he understands that some people are furious but clearly acted unbothered.
‘Guys are mad! Hahahahahahaha. It is a good look you!” he tweeted.
His tweet got the support of many tweeps who rallied behind him and bashed people who have been trolling the star online over the aforementioned photo.
Chimano has always kept many of his fans on the edge for some time now by not introducing his lover to the world. This led to many people believing he was gay and was afraid of coming out, allegations he has always denied vehemently in different media interviews.
