A Nigerian woman identified as Tabugbo Violet Amaka who has described the feminism movement as harmful and not worth one’s stress or sanity. In a post shared to her Facebook page, the lady explained that feminism has done more harm than good to Nigerian women especially those that are yet to get married.
Amaka went on to add that the more one practices feminism, the more harm one brings to themselves mentally. For Amaka, there are cultural beliefs to be upheld. “There are some decisions and actions women are not allowed to make or take no matter how rich and educated you are as a woman in Nigeria,” she wrote. Another part of her post read:
“We are not white people, we are Africans. Most of the things they do doesn’t work for us. Till Jesus comes, equality will never be adopted here in Nigeria.” See screenshot of her post below:
