The atmosphere at Veterinary Clinic Sokoto was lighten up by the presence of 75 year old tortoise from Argungu which was hit by a car.
History revealed that the patient was ran over by a car (Hilux) and got it’s shell cracked and broken.
It was all hands on deck as the team comprising the veterinarians from the clinic and ‘Gifted hands’ from the department of Surgery and Radiology, FVM, UDUS spent the whole lot day on the patient.The shell was fixed using circlage wire and screws.
The patient has since returned back to Argungu. Nice one from the doctors.
Hope they constantly check on the wound, to prevent it from been infected.??
