The federal government of Nigeria has officially approved the reopening of schools across the country and decided that all states across the country can reopen after the presidential task force reviewed it’s possibilities.
After the federal government approved the reopening of schools, some states have been making preparations to see that they reopen schools across their state.
Here are some states that are set to reopen schools on Monday 21st of September 2020;
-Oyo state
Oyo state ministry of education, science and technology has earlier announced Monday, 21st of September 2020 as resumption date for all primary and secondary schools across the state while all tertiary institutions across the state are to resume activities on the 28th of September 2020.
-Ogun state
The governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun in a statement disclosed by the Chief Press Secretary to the State Government, Kunle Somorin said all primary schools, secondary schools and all tertiary institutions in the state have been ordered to reopen on Monday 21st September 2020, so students can fully begin their academic activities.
Benue State
Benue state government has earlier announced Monday, 21st of September, 2020 as resumption date for all tertiary institutions, primary and secondary schools across the state, although the state government warned that all tertiary institutions across the country must be fumigated and follow all protocols given to prevent coronavirus.
Lagos State
According to a statement earlier disclosed by the senior special assistant to the Lagos state governor on new media via his official twitter handle, jubril Gawat disclosed that all JSS3 and SS2 students in public schools are to resume on Monday 21st of September, 2020, While all classes in private schools are to fully resume on Monday, 21st of September.
Lagos State government concluded that all nursery and primary schools mainly public are to remain closed until further instruction is given by the state government.
For now, only these four states has approved 21st of September as resumption date for schools in their state.
